Sometime your Yahoo Messenger stop to work. The reason can be anything or just a simple virus.
If you want to communicate easily with your friends/clients then it’s time to switch to another messenger software.
Pidgin (formerly Gaim) is a universal chat / instant messaging client.
Supported protocols
The following protocols are officially supported:
- Bonjour (Apple’s implementation of Zeroconf)
- Gadu-Gadu
- Internet Relay Chat
- Lotus Sametime
- MySpaceIM
- .NET Messenger Service (commonly known as MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger) (no multimedia support)
- Novell GroupWise
- OSCAR (AIM/ICQ/.Mac)
- SIMPLE
- SILC
- XMPP (Google Talk, LJ Talk, Gizmo5, …)
- Yahoo (only basic chat and file transfers)
- Zephyr
Download Pidgin for Windows.
If you’re a Linux user then probably you already have installed, if not then use Yumex/Synaptic manager to install it.
